Two flights and 24 hours after leaving Fort Worth, we have made it to Thailand. We learned three things. 1. We have a very good baby compared to other babies. 2. Even a good baby has meltdowns. (Nayeli's happened at 30000 feet after sleeping only 5 hours in 24 hours.) 3. The movie Lady and the Tramp can save exhausted parents with a child having a meltdown. (Nayeli watched it through 4 times.) It was a very difficult trip, but The Lord provided for in many ways over the past few days. We are now at Suranaree University of Technology waiting for our first day of introductions with the faculty and students. Please pray for us, that we will be good ambassadors for Christ over the next few days. Pray specifically for sleep. Nayeli is not sleeping at night and is having trouble taking naps during the day. We are all exhausted. Pray that we will treat each other with patience and kindness and draw our strength from The Lord.

So exciting! I'll be praying for you on your trip!!
ReplyDeleteWhen I had little ones in the foreign land of California, I often turned to Isaiah 40:11 to hold on to. "He will feed His flock like a shepherd. He will gather the lambs in His arms, He will carry them in His bosom, and He will GENTLY lead those that have their young." Prayers for your being led gently during this fabulous journey.
ReplyDeletewe just moved to thailand 3 months ago from indianapolis and are good friends of David and wendy Mumme(we've had all of their kids in youth group over the past serveral years). Wendy informed me that you guys are in Chiang Mai and we would love to connect with you/help in any way we can while you are here. First question is: Are you in Chiang Mai and secondly: How long are you here? I look forward to hearing from you! Kammy
